In addition to blogging and writing comics, novels and short stories, I have experience in online journalism and copywriting.
From 2008 to 2010, I was a contributing writer for Comic Book Resources, one of the largest online comic news sites, averaging over 3 million unique visitors a month. I spearheaded gaming coverage for CBR, contributing over 100 articles during my two-plus years with them. You can read every single piece I wrote for them right here.
Currently, I’m a copywriter for Kitbash Brand Design, a creative agency located in the greater Mississippi area. I’ve created copy for company websites in the fields of hospice care, banking, education and more. You can see a couple of examples of my work here and here.
I’m also well-versed in audio podcast production, as I’ve been creating and producing podcasts for eight years now. My comic and pop culture podcast Secret Identity has been going strong since 2006, with almost 600 episodes and well over 1500 hours of programming. Lbobi Radio (a podcast about design and small business administration) ran for 52 episodes between 2010 and 2013, and will be returning as Kitbash Radio in 2014. And See Brian Write, the sister podcast for this site, launched in 2013 and is currently being produced twice a month. I also produce an occasional gaming podcast called Co-Op Critics under the Secret Identity banner, which has a companion blog as well.
So, whether you’re looking for a contributing writer for a news and reviews site, a copywriter for your business website, or a story for your next fiction anthology or comic project, I’m interested in hearing from you. I can also help you get a podcast up and running, whether it’s for your personal business or a hobby you’re passionate about.
You can email me at email@example.com about any creative projects you'd like to work together on.
